Henrik Duncker was born in 1963 in Helsinki. He concentrated on music and architectural drawing until he adopted an interest in photography in 1988. The same year he took on photography studies in the University of Art and Design Helsinki (UIAH), being tutored by Martin Parr, Sakari Sunila and Timo Kelaranta among others. He graduated with an MA degree in 1993. Henrik lives in Helsinki and works internationally as an independent photographer.
